About Us

Academy

South Nottinghamshire Academy (formerly Dayncourt School) is a co-educational foundation academy for students aged 11 – 18. The academy serves the communities of Cotgrave, Radcliffe on Trent and Shelford within the borough of Rushcliffe in South Nottinghamshire. There are currently around 500 students at South Nottinghamshire Academy plus 100 full and part-time staff. It was previously a specialist sports college and became an Academy in September 2011.

Our mission statement is ‘Pushing our boundaries to achieve more’. Students at South Nottinghamshire Academy are expected to work hard and achieve the best they can. We provide support and a safe, friendly and caring environment that allows all our students to reach their full potential.

We offer a traditional academic timetable which maximises student performance. A range of amenities are available in the academy including superb sports installations, excellent dining hall, fully equipped classrooms with the latest IT and music and drama facilities. Amenities are also heavily used out of normal learning hours by students, local community groups and sports clubs; reflecting our belief in providing lifelong learning opportunities for everyone. South Nottinghamshire Academy is sponsored by Redhill Academy Trust.
