Ethos and values

The Academy promotes fundamental British values of belief in democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of people of other faiths and beliefs.

At South Nottinghamshire Academy, students are at the centre of everything we do. Every child is known, valued and encouraged to give their best. We aim to give all our students everything they need to reach their potential and achieve at the highest possible level.

‘Pushing our boundaries to achieve more’

Through consultation with our school community, our new mission statement (above) was launched in September 2014. To ensure this is lived and breathed by all of our stakeholders, we have established ‘the SNA Way’ – these are the set of core values that underpin our mission statement.

On a practical level, ‘the SNA Way’ has been split into two sets of five values. Those that link to us all as individuals and those that link to us all in terms of the wider school community.
