The curriculum at South Nottinghamshire Academy

At South Nottinghamshire Academy we offer a broad, balanced, relevant, challenging and inclusive curriculum to all students.

In KS3 we follow the programmes of study and principles set out in the National Curriculum.  Students follow a curriculum offer that includes English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, Modern Foreign Languages, Physical Education, Music, Art, Food Technology, PSRE (Personal, Social and Religious Education) and ICT.

When students reach KS4 they study a core curriculum which includes English, Maths, Science, Recreational Physical Education and PSRE.  In addition to this students choose 5 option subjects from Business Studies, German, Spanish, French, Art, ICT, History, Geography, Dance, Physical Education, Food Technology, Media, Health Care and Music.  Most students will study a full course of GCSE subjects but we also offer vocational equivalents and foundation courses so that we meet individual needs.

In KS5 students will study 3, two-year A-Levels.Students can study the Extended Project Qualification and Sports Leaders Awards.
