Support For Students

Central to the support you receive throughout your studies will be your Personal Tutor. Your tutor will have an intimate knowledge of your study programme and they will also receive regular updates on your progress in allOne of the support sessions subjects and activities that make up your learning programme. They will also write your UCAS reference or any other reference required for entry into employment. Your Personal Tutor will work closely with your subject teachers and a;lso help you to creat an Individual Learning Plan (ILP). The ILP is a working document that will develop throughout your course and will be used to:

  • Reflect on your progress
  • Set clear targets for improvement
  • Assure and record your achievements

The idea of the ILP is to help you focus on issues such as time management, self-awareness, study skills, where you are now, setting goals for the future and finding out what is important to you as an individual.
