National Careers Week
We are Celebrating National Careers Week at South Nottinghamshire Academy.
We are celebrating National Careers Week. We will be holding workshops, trips and outside providers will be visiting and covering different career paths and apprenticeships.
Our Year 8 super learner group enjoyed a morning at Capital One. Students took on team challenges, financial literacy, insight into career streams and they met industry professionals. The trip aligned with careers benchmarks and the CDI framework. NCW day 1, one to remember!
Creative Careers was NCW day 2 focus, with support from the Norwich University of Arts, who helped us to bring lots of careers into the curriculum - linking with 4 of our subjects - Art, Media, Drama and Technology. Informative, interactive, and insightful workshops, which highlighted career streams and what study might look like at university.
A group of Year 9 prospective GCSE business students - currently choosing their options visited Price Waterhouse Cooper East Midlands. The Directors and other associates shared their career journeys, students enjoyed a tour of the firm and a chance to become PwC consultants for the day, through team building and a problem solving project brief. A fabulous, insightful day.
