Sixth Form
At South Nottinghamshire Academy, we offer all our students an outstanding sixth form education characterised by academic excellence, outstanding learning experiences and extensive enrichment opportunities. High expectations combined with the dedicated support of specialist tutors, teachers and careers advisers ensure that students, whatever their individual needs, can develop self-confidence, fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations. Students leave us ready to assume their responsibilities as young adults and prepared to embrace further exciting opportunities.
Students in the sixth form are mature and focussed. They act as role models for younger pupils.

This Sixth Form offers you many opportunities to develop useful skills. For example, leadership roles such as Charity Ambassador and Gold Duke of Edinburgh.

I like the flexibility around how you use free periods alongside the structure of lessons.

What we really like about this Sixth form is the freedom that allows us to feel like adults. There are so many opportunities here, and I have been given so much support in improving my study habits. Staff really care about personal development and the well-being of students.

On Thursday 3rd July, the author Kate Mallinder came to run an engaging workshop with the Library Book Club and with enthusiastic Literacy students from Year 7. We are excited to have been able to offer them this opportunity as a way of celebrating their reading success this year. A huge well done from Mrs Hall, Ms Sargent and all of your teachers at South Nottinghamshire Academy. @Head_SNA #TheSNAWay @katemallinder @kate.mallinder
