South Nottinghamshire Academy is passionate about preparing all of our students to shine brightly in the world of work and study that awaits them.
The Academy facilitates an embedded programme of interactive and informative careers and employability learning and students are encouraged develop their essential skills, learn from experiences and think about their aspirations and career ideas from their early Years 7/8, through to Year 11 and beyond.
We believe in a ‘whole school approach’. Careers education is reflected across all subject areas, PSHE, themed weeks, and unique links with industry and universities. By the time they leave the Academy, we expect students to have developed the wider skills which they need, to help them ‘stand out’ in today’s modern world.
At the heart of the Academy, there is an affinity with the world of work. We are very fortunate to engage with a large number of business partnerships and in 2019, we were awarded School of the Year for Education and Business partnerships.
